She was predeceased by: her husband William Yowell (Tiny); her parents, Charlie Akins and Mae Akins; her son Richard Tucker; and her siblings, Sonny Akins, Lillian Gammill and Charlotte Joan Akins.

She is survived by: her children, Donnie Joe Tucker (Jammye), James Charles Tucker and Vickie L. Owen (Ronny); and her sister Annette Chaloka. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
