As we bid Rita Helen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Rita Helen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her sister Betty Mullins. She is survived by: her husband Linville Brooks; her daughter Brenda Brooks; her son-in-law Bob Patterson; her grandson Cole Patterson; her siblings, Nina Maxwell and Charles Fleming; and her brother-in-law James Mullins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Meridian Baptist Church (6513 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Rose Lawn Cemetery (4410 Lee Hwy, Marion, VA 24354).
