She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Darnell and Emma Darnell; her former husband Bennie Galyon; her granddaughter Maranda Flynn; and her siblings, Alfred, Bud, Jim, Willis, Lillie Mae, Gene, Fred, Priscilla, Elizabeth and Jasper.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne McPeters; her children, Howard Galyon (Gerri), Michelle Nower (Dan), Stephanie Ogle, Michael Galyon, Wendy Schaller (Scott), Krista Allen (Bradley) and Andrew McPeters (Beth); her sister Juanita Keymer; her sister-in-law Martha Darnell; and her grandchildren, Emma, Nathaniel, Derek, Ben, Bethany, Dameron, Kassi, Russell, Andrew and Emily. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Stock Creek Cemetery (8106 Martin Mill Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920). Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Berry Funeral Home (3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
