He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, J. W. Buchanan and Thelma Caudel Buchanan; his wife Sue Timbes Buchanan; his daughters, Kay Cooper (Dennis) of Mason Hall, Jill Smith (Tony) of Newbern and Jan Cardwell (Keith) of Kenton; his grandchildren, Laura Cooper of Jackson, WY, Ashlee Hall (Zeb) of Friendship, TN, Blake Smith (Bandana) of Friendship, TN, Allison Neal (Brandon) of Obion, TN, Brittany Simmons (Will) of Kenton, TN, KJ and Kylie Caldwell of Kenton, TN.; and his great grandchildren, Wade, Jessie Cate Hall, Jocelynn, Madilynn, Analee, Isaish Neal, Colt, Wesson Smith, Reagan and Rhett Simmons.
The funeral will be a private family service; however, an open graveside service will follow at Union Grove Cemetery, requiring mask and social distanceing due to Covid-19.
The family requests donations to be made to the Union Grove Cemetery Fund in lieu of flowers.
