She was predeceased by: her parents, Cicero Merritt and Claudie Merritt (Sibley); her husband Richard Leslie Speirs; and her brother Oswell Frank Merritt. She is survived by: her daughters, Claudia Randolph (Johnny) and Sheryl Wiatt; and her grandchildren, Sasha Rosen (Chris), Micah Jones (Kimberly), Dana Sperlein, Christy Wiatt and Bobby Wiatt. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
