He is survived by: his wife Lillie J. Sawyer; his children, Eva Dockery (Pat) of Thorn Hill, Virginia Russell (Jim) of Knoxville, Larry Dalton of Morristown, Brillia Pollard (Terry), Major Dalton (Lea) of Knoxville, Regina Burgin of Morristown and Tammy Mabe of Rutledge; and his siblings, R. P. Sawyer (Pearl) of Morristown, Harvey Sawyer of Morristown, Margaret Trent of Morristown, Virginia Veale of Florida and Betty Thompson of Jefferson City. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
