He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Ramsey Denton; his parents, Howard Denton and Mae Franklin Denton; and his siblings, Phillip Ray Denton, Mary Jo Denton and Betty Jean Stipes.
He is survived by: his children, Collen Diane Quisenberry (Jack) and Charles David Denton (Sharon); his grandsons, Dustin Mitchell Mantooth (Robin), Luke Edward Quisenberry (Kalynn) and Charles Daniel McClain; his stepgrandchildren, Richard and Abigail Campbell; his great grandchild Mitchell Edward Mantooth; and his sisters, Margaret Elder (Larry) and Wanda Sue Denton.
