He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilda Johnson Rhodes and F. L. "Abb" Rhodes; his siblings, Carol Jane Schmidt and Wayne Rhodes; the mother of his children Nancy Ruth Rhodes; and his close friend Martha Turner.
He is survived by: his son Tony Rhodes (Tammie); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Rhodes and John Schmidt. He is also survived by daughter, Jeannine (Greg) Younger; grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society, First Baptist Church of Jasper, TN, or the Marion County Animal Resource Connection (MARC).
