With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hancel Mercer of Jacksboro, Tennessee, who passed away on January 26, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willy Rosevelt Mercer and Irene Mercer (Johnson); his wife Georgia Ann Mercer; his son Earnest Boshears (Vickie); and his sisters, Betty Rogers, Maragret Wallington, Vernia Lee House and Ruby Cook.

He is survived by: his daughter Sue Caughorn of Jacksboro; and his siblings, Tommy Mercer of Atlanta, Bill Mercer of Mississippi, Martha James (Beau) of Mississippi and Imogene Pinkston of Mississippi. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
