He is survived by: his children, Ola McVay (Chip), Peggy Ward (Eric McKinney) and John Hooks; his brothers, Mike, Jackie, Sammy and James Hooks; and his grandchildren, Justin Stooksbury, Joshua Ward, Jacob Ward, Caleb Ward, Blake Ivy, Ryan McVay, Dustin, Nate, William, Matthew, Zoe and Cooper McKinney.
