He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Davis Bennett; and his siblings, Shirley Shands and Jerry Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Jo Anne Bennett; his children, Kathy Hanks (Roger) of Atwood, Jan Kinningham (Alan) of Jackson, Judy Parish (Steve) of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Robert "Bob" D Bennett of Huntingdon, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Kisha Pittman (P. J.), Elizabeth Abernathy, Jessica Brazell (Justin), Drew Kinningham (Kirby), Bennett Kinningham (Danielle), Adam Parish (Hillary), Ryan Parish and Brandon Bennett (Melissa). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
