He was predeceased by: his parents, James Owen and Mary Lois Brotherton (Bailey); and his brother Tony Brotherton. He is survived by: his daughters, Crystal Brotherton (Adam) of Cedar Grove and Shannon Avery (Trevor) of Jackson; his sisters, Wanda Butler of Huntingdon and Caroline Baker (Tim) of O'Fallon; his half-brothers, Bobby Brotherton (Patty) of Hollow Rock and Jim Brotherton (Jan) of Vale; and his grandchildren, Rayne Reindl, Apryl Reindl, Bentley Avery, Marilyn Avery and Aubrey Avery. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
