She was predeceased by: her parent Goethe; her husband Robert Thompson; and her siblings, Doye Simmons, Irene Rodgers and Dorothy Sanders.

She is survived by: her children, Gene, Rosa, Phyllis, David, Marsha and Rick; and her sister Juanita. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
