With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Ann Johnson Tayes of Hermitage, Tennessee, born in Pinson, Tennessee, who passed away on August 4, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jewell Bridgewater and Ruby Wilson Bridgewater; her former husband Earlis Johnson; her husband Riley "Tater" Tayes of Hermitage; and her stepchildren, Earlis "Butch" Johnson Jr. (Teresa), Bruce Johnson (Lisa), Ronald Johnson (Brenda), Tommy Johnson (Sandra), Missi Leebrick (Tony), Riley Ray Tayes Jr. (Lisa) and Cindy Vick (Gary). She was also cherished by 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Temple Baptist Church of Old Hickory.
