She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Howard and Anna Mae Parish Howard; her brothers, David Howard, William "Eddie" Moore, Donald Robert Moore and Jack Allen Webster; and her half-brothers, James Hedger Moore Jr. and Claude R. Moore.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Michael Scott Padgett (Dezerae), Dennis Martin Padgett (Gina), Melisia Padgett Robins and Susan Padgett Rolley (Bruce); her great grandchild Mason; her siblings, Jerry "JJ" Johnson and Scarlet Wainscott; and her friend African Gray Bird. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

“My pretty Alma is what I called you as a child, admiring and adoring you because I wanted too be just like you. I never missed the chance to go to Morganfield when Granddaddy said we were going to visit Uncle Edd and Aunt Anna Mae. Seems after he passed away, we didn't go anymore and we all drifted apart. It was years later that I found you had passed away and I wish I had known. I have reflected on those years gone by and they are happy ones, which I will hold in my heart forever.”
