He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas E. Thompson and Yvonne Thompson (Lewis); his former wife Judi Thompson; and his siblings, Carol and Tom.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Thompson (Shelby); his daughters, Tammy Smith (Bryan) and Sheila Day (John); his grandchildren, Devin, Tyler, Amanda, Nathan and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Elijah, Penelope and Lorelai; and his siblings, Lee, Neal, Sue and Joyce. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Wayne's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
