We bid farewell to Sheriff Roy Weatherford (Hendersonville, Tennessee), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 2, 2024 at the age of 65. Sheriff Roy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Wilson Weatherford Jr. and Lois Jean Wright Weatherford; his grandparents, Roy Wilson Weatherford Sr., Lena Weatherford, James Wright and Marie Wright; and his brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Lynn Weatherford; his sons, Stephen Michael Weatherford (Kelsey) and Dustin Kyle Weatherford (Geneva); his grandchildren, Jemma Rose Weatherford, Gunner Drake Weatherford, Arabella Grace Jean Weatherford and Keagan McKenna Lynn Weatherford; his siblings, Cheryl Collins, Ronnie Weatherford and Dana Oldham (Bobby); his nieces, Alicia Collins Varble, Jaime Troutt (Beau), Kelly Nelson (Austin), Jessica Oldham and Jodi Weatherford (Mo); his nephew Zach Weatherford (Mel); his great-niece Hannah Varble; and his great-nephews, Isaac Stewart, Collin Varble, Landon Varble, Lawson Varble, Rainer Oldham, Greyson Troutt and Jackson Nelson. He is also survived by many close friends; and his brothers and sisters in law.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Sonny to Alzheimer's Tennessee, Sonny donated to the organization every year in honor of his mother.
