He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Anderson and Goldie Anderson; his sister Nancy A. Scruggs; and his granddaughter Jessica Slate. He is survived by: his wife Lucy B. Anderson; his sister Mary A. Chunn (Gary); his children, Michael D. Anderson, Amy A. Slate and Stephen A. Anderson (Jill); and his grandchildren, Austin Anderson, Ashley Lansing, Abbey Anderson, Joseph Beech, Joshua Slate, Jordan Corbitt, Alexandra "Ally" Anderson and Jenna Grace Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Lucien "LC" Anderson's honor.
