He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John Jay, Elizabeth Whitefield, Bill and Mary Andrews; his father John William Whitefield; his stepfather Paul L. Grant; and his siblings, Farron Whitefield and Karen Lenea Roberson.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Whitefield; his mother Edith; his grandchildren, Jordan Thomas, Aaron Thomas (Jamie), Austin Thomas, Everett Thomas and Adeline Thomas; his brothers, Chuck Enloe (Shawn), Ed Whitefield and Rob Whitefield (Kimberly); his sister-in-law Franky Whitefield; his siblings, Don Long (Teri), Danny Long (Trish) and Debbie Lewis (Don); and his aunts, Sheryl Cannon (Larry) and Lori Andrews. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
