He is survived by: his children, Roy "Hoppy" Scruggs (Linda), Jean Donoho, Aileen Leath (Garry), Billie Porter (Joe), Cathy Bush and Glenda Scruggs; and his daughter-in-law Carol Scruggs. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchild.
