He was predeceased by: his son Isaac Dale Bode; his father Kenneth Lee Bode; and his grandparents, Aubrey "Bud", Florence Bode, Walter and Ina Mathis.
He is survived by: his wife Amy Bode; his mother Martha Mathis Bode; his daughters, Christy Cooley-Hartsville (Harold) and Lesley Overman (Andy); his stepchildren, Susan Smith and Chris Smith (Ellesse); his grandchildren, Holly Haskins, Peyton Cooley, Eli Overman, Naomi Overman, Logan Meyer, Brice Blair, Roman Smith, Logan Brownlee-Smith, Dalton Smith, Ansley Davis and Rhett Smith; his great grandchildren, Kali Spears, Tatum Brown and Cooper Cooley; and his siblings, Steve Bode-Hartsville (Donna), John Bode (Deanna), Cindy Clark, Beck Burgess-Baxter and Bode-Hartsville. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Uncles.
