He was predeceased by: his parents, William Featherston and Mildred Long Featherston; and his half-siblings, Wanda Watson, Howard and Wayne Gilliam.

He is survived by: his wife Levyonne Gipson Featherston; his son Randall; his daughter-in-law Sheri Featherston; his grandchildren, Leah Barr (D. C.) and Kaleb Featherston; his great grandchild Blake Barr; and his pet Greta.
