He is survived by: his wife Merri Lawson; his children, Rebekah Lawson of Hampton, William Potter of Jonesborough and Matthew Potter of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Ethan Potter and Josie Potter; and his sisters, Diana Sue Rasnick (Ronnie) of Elizabethton, Judy Rasnick (David) of Elizabethton, Sherry Harmon (Dale) of Elizabethton and Kathy Scalf of Elizabethton.
