He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Condred and Mary Campbell Smith; his siblings, Tafeda Payne, Dorthy Ramsey and Gordon Jay Smith; his nephew Gordon Smith; and his niece Dani Payne Colbaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley (Teague); his sons, Michael (Robin), Jeffrey (Jill) and Joseph (Angel); his grandchildren, Caleb (Domonique), Isaac and Faith of Batesburg; his great grandchild Lincoln of Johnson City; and his brother George (Pauline).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gideons International.
