He is survived by: his parent Alice Montgomery Heaton; his spouse Karen Carden Heaton; his children, Kimberly Heaton of Jonesborough, Kara Heaton of Hampton and Kevin Heaton (Debra); his grandson Lucas Heaton of Clinton, TN.; and his sisters, Carol McClain of Hampton and Betty James of Elizabethton. He is also survived by husband and father.
