She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Miller Gowin and Elizabeth Farmer Gowin; her siblings, Ellen, Myrtle Ann Cook, Steven Carter, Tommy Roy Gowin and James Wayne Gowin; and her close friend Winston Blade Austin.
She is survived by: her brother Kenny Gowin of Hampton; her daughter Lucille Marie "Rie" Wilson of Atlanta, GA; and her granddaughters, Annalise Wilson and Emma Wilson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
