He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Arthur Cable and Trula Jane Cardwell Cable; his son Fred Cable; and his grandsons, Timothy Cable, II and Kory McKinney.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Cable; his children, Tim Cable (Christinia) of Jonesborough and Valerie Cable McKinney of Johnson City; and his grandchildren, Kris McKinney, Trevor Cable, Amy Love Kamp, Alison Cable Edwards, Andrea Cable and Adrianne Cable Vandiver.
