He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Mynatt and Hattie Mynatt; his sister Pauline Cleveland (Robert); and his sons, John Mynatt and Doug Mynatt.

He is survived by: his children, Angie Turner (John) and Jim Mynatt (Sandy); his sister Mae Dalton; his grandchildren, Dustin (Morgan), Jake (Nikki), Christy, Kacey (Eric), Sonnie and Sonya; his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Tripp, Alora and Lycan; and his daughter-in-law Vickie Mynatt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
