He was predeceased by: his wife Verda Lorena Gearin Jones; his children-in-law, Steve Crutcher and Sheila Jones; his grandson Craig Gordon Totty; and his parents, Rufus Jones and Bessie Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine Totty and Robert W. "Sam" Jones; his grandchildren, Kimberly Rogers (Kirt) of Chattanooga, TN and Russell Jones (Ashley) of Cleveland, TN; and his great grandchildren, Sarah Young, Anna, Ian and Owen Rogers.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to "Christmas Shoe Box" at Bethel Baptist Church, 154 TN-54, Greenfield, TN 38230.
