He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe DeWitt and Ruth Johnston DeWitt; and his brothers-in-law, Floyd Olmstead and Buford Neas. He is survived by: his wife Karen Morrell DeWitt; his children, Mark A. DeWitt of Knoxville, TN and Cheryl D DeWitt of Knoxville, Tennessee; his siblings, Jack DeWitt (Edwana Boucher), Barbara Olmstead, Judy Neas and Peggy Renner (Andrew) of Greeneville, Tennessee.; his nephews, B. J. Gray, Richie Renner, Chris Renner, Mike Neas and Shannon Johnson; and his friend Nick Cuehner.
