He is survived by: his wife Joann; his stepchildren, Donna Mease, Barbara Lawson, Tony of Greeneville and Rex Hinkle of Greeneville; and his siblings, Michael J. Gessner and Sharon Mitchell. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.
