He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jewell Elizabeth Hussey and Gail Russell Hicks; his wife Eudalia Sue Raines (Dale); his children, John Arlin Hicks, Jr., Georgia Hicks Rucker (John), Lori Hale, Suzanne Pinson (Tom Cole), Wendy Hicks Maddox, Rachel Pinson Langston (Kevin), Charles Lee Pinson, Jr. and Sean J. Hicks; and his grandchildren, Neale Hicks, Emily Hicks, Catherine Portera, Colleen Gomez, Lucy Landrum, Max Maddox, Grant Langston and Raines Langston. He was also cherished by six great-grandchildren.
