She was predeceased by: her husband Jacky L. Lawrence; her parents, Robert Mathis and Pearl Mathis; her brother James P. Mathis (Nelda Kay Johnson); and her grandchild Scarlet Lawrence Akins.

She is survived by: her brother Terry Mathis; her children, Renee Hurst (Greg), Steve Lawrence (Vicki) and Leigh Pleasant; her grandchildren, Reese Lawrence, Jordan Diana and Andy Hurst; and her great grandchild Madison Akins.
