She was predeceased by: her father John Cowan Barton; and her husband George Cole, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, George Dee Cole of Collierville and Linda Nicoll of Germantown, Tennessee.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
