He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred S. Carson and Queen Elizabeth Williams Carson; and his siblings, John Carson, William Carson, Douglas Carson, Jerry Carson and Mary Tipps McAlister.
He is survived by: his wife Molly J. Martin Carson of Gallatin; his children, Deborah J. Henry (Shane) of Gallatin and Jerry David Carson (Rhonda) of Gallatin; his grandchildren, Michael Henry (Nicole), Mark Henry, Melanie Newport (Nate), Tanner Carson and Taylor Carson; and his great grandchildren, Henry Newport and Harper Newport.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
