He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewell Summerlin and Virginia Putman Summerlin; and his brother James "Jimmy" Summerlin. He is survived by: his wife Susie Summerlin of Friendship; his children, Mac Summerlin (Diane) of Friendship and Christy Hutchison (Troy) of Friendship; his sister Ruth Ann Jones of Arlington; his grandchildren, Mallory Hargett (Austin), Chelsea Terry (Spencer) and Bailey Hutchison; and his great grandchild Macklin Hargett.
