It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bettie Motley of Friendship, Tennessee, born in Dyersburg, Tennessee, who passed away on June 21, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hassell Bivens and Maude Aileen Butler Newmeyer; and her husband James M. Motley. She is survived by: her children, Pam Reasons (Jeff) of Obion, TN, Scott Motley (Laura) of St. Louis, MO and Mike Motley of Friendship, TN; and her siblings, Sandra Prince of Atlanta, GA, Patsy Hollingsworth of Collierville, TN, Nancy Stallings of Germantown, TN and Phillip Bivens (Barbara) of Murfreesboro, TN. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
