He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel C. Smith and Thelma N. Smith (Smith); and his brothers, Billy R. Smith and Larry D. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Dortha A. Smith of Evensville; his son James Anthony "Tony" Smith of Evensville; his sisters, Janie Pritchett (Dean) of McDonough, GA, Sue Potter (Tony) of Dayton and Mary Louise Kirkland (Ray) of Rockwood; his niece Megan Land (Josh); and his granddaughter Hazel Land of Dayton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
