He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Albert "Ab" and Caroline Pelfrey (Russell); and his siblings, Ruby Roberts (Lee), Ethel Pelfrey, Fay Clark (Lee), James S. Pelfrey (Dean), Thomas Pelfrey, Robert W. Pelfrey, Tex Pelfrey (Loretta) and Mildred Cochran (William).
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Pelfrey (Hays) of Evensville Mountain; his sons, Harley Cecil Pelfrey, Jr. (Susanne) of Iowa City and Billy Joe Pelfrey (Cintia Finkler) of Evensville Mountain; his sister-in-law Cecille (late Robert Pelfrey) of Dayton; and his grandsons, Maxwell Pelfrey (Hannah Aslesen) of Sigourney, Mitchell Pelfrey (Pauline Cushman) of Bagdad, AZ, Paul Pelfrey of Yucca, AZ, Brock Pelfrey of Evensville Mountain, Brett Pelfrey of Iowa City, Iowa., Max, Mickey and Byron Morgan of Ocala, FL.
