It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Briggs of Erwin, Tennessee, who passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge "Buck" Briggs and Nellie Rice Briggs; his son Justin Briggs; his granddaughter Lacey Burton; and his siblings, Gerald Briggs, Earl Briggs, Ronal Briggs and Linda Silvers.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Niederbrach of Johnson City, Dustin Briggs of Erwin and Shane Briggs of Erwin; his brothers, Robert Briggs (Mary Sue) of Flag Pond and Roger Briggs of Flag Pond; and his grandchildren, Josey Briggs, Jesse Briggs, Dalston Briggs, Sabra Ellis, Shalein Ellis, Shelby Niederbrach, Logan Niederbrach, Autumn Briggs, Ebony Briggs and Bryson Briggs. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
