He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Monk, Sr. and Fannie Toney Monk; and his brothers, Edward Lee Monk and J. C. Monk, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Helen Joan Monk; his daughters, Diana Treadway (Doug), Karen Duncan (Clark) and Paula Monk Foster; his grandchildren, Jessica Sisson (Joel), Brandon Treadway (Amy), Larissa Treadway, Kendal Hennigan (Zac) and Jarrod Foster; his great grandchildren, Maverick Sisson and Shepherd Hennigan; and his pet Cliff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
