He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Edmond Bergendahl, Sr. and Cora Emma Cuddy Bergendahl; his wife Betty Jean Tittle Bergendahl; his son O. E. "Eddie" Bergendahl, III; his grandson Matthew Bergendahl Willis; and his sisters, Theda Snyder, Catherine Jones, Thelma Lundy, Elleen Cairy and Mary Frances Simmons.
He is survived by: his children, James "Jimmie" Bergendahl (Winnie) of Johnson City, Michael "Mike" Bergendahl (Donna) of Johnson City, Scott Bergendahl (LuAnne) of Erwin and Susan "Sue" Benny (Will) of Pasadena, Maryland; and his daughter-in-law Wendie Bergendahl of Meadville, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in memory of Mick to: Centenary United Methodist Church, 203 North Elm Street, Erwin, TN 37650 and/or YMCA, 601 Love Street, Erwin, TN 37650.
