With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Guinn Yelton (Erwin, Tennessee), who passed away on March 7, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville F. Guinn and Maude Foster Guinn; her husband A. Douglas Yelton; her son Robert G. Yelton; and her brother R. Winston Guinn.
She is survived by: her children, Amelda Howze (Ed) and Doug Yelton; her granddaughter Beatrice Wynn (Brad); her granddaughter-in-law Jen Howze; her grandchildren, Ben Howze, Laura Howze, Daniel Howze, Kelly Yelton and David Yelton; her nieces, Susan Chaffin (Spud) and Vickie Smith; her nephew Craig Guinn (Pam); and her close friends, Suzy Hughes, Perry Crocker, Gary, Pam Amos, Jane, David Burgner, Judy Colinger, Connie Buchanan and Jim Reynolds. She is also survived by many friends and neighbors.
Lois loved flowers, but if you prefer, memorial donations may be made in her name to Erwin Presbyterian Church or to Calvary Baptist Church.
