With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harry Truman Mathes of Erwin, Tennessee, who passed away on August 20, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mathes of Washington and Mildred Tittle Mathes; his siblings, Clyde, Fred, Albert Mathes, Pearl Wallace, Neva Shelton and Bertha Blevins; and his niece Elizabeth Joan Mathes.
He is survived by: his wife Jennie Sue Jones Mathes; his daughter Amanda Mathes Hylton (Jason); his granddaughters, Ariel Trinity Hylton of Erwin and Rajah Grace Hylton of Erwin; his brother Rex S. Mathes (Linda); his nephew David W. Mathes (Lisa); his niece Nancy Lynn Mathes; and his great-nephew Ian Hunter Mathes.
