She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lawrence Byrd, Sr. and Velva Willis Byrd; and her siblings, John "J. L." Byrd, Charles Cyle Byrd, Robbie M. Byrd, Dorris Byrd, Olga Edwards and Joan Byrd King.

She is survived by: her brother Harold Byrd (Mae Bell) of Flag Pond; and her siblings-in-law, Jim King of Erwin and Diana Byrd of Erwin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
