He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Masters and Rebecca Louise Masters (Collins); his wife Marie Louise Masters (Deaton); and his siblings, Harley Masters, Lena Masters, Virginia Hixson, Lorena Wilson, Loyd Masters, Ed Masters, Jeanette Engle and Herbert Masters.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Willis (Greg) and Randall Masters (Emily); his grandchildren, Jonathan Grindstaff (Jessica), Caleb Grindstaff (Angel), Nora Masters and Holden Masters; his great grandchildren, Elias Grindstaff, Emily Holder and Lucas Holder; and also, Lee, Ann and Jimmy Whitson.
Memorial donations can be made in Bernard's name to Chestoa Baptist Church's Building Fund, 2170 Chestoa Pike, Erwin, TN 37650.
