He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Jones and Edwin Jones; and his brothers, Lloyd Jones and Mack Douglas Jones. He is survived by: his wife Mathilde Metzger Jones of Eads, TN; his children, Anna Jones (David) of Arlington, TN, Joy Franklin (Danny) and Jim (Faye) of Lakeland, TN; and his brothers, Johnny Jones, Jerry Jones and David Jones. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
