He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hooper and Betty Smith Hooper; and his sisters, Anita Gilbert and Linda Nees. He is survived by: his sisters, Pam Hooper (Trevor Miotti) of Newbern and Beverly Rossel (Cary) of Dallas; his nieces and nephews, Ilana Rossel of Dallas, Sara Nees Lively of Stephenville, Jeremy Rossel of Dallas, Bradley Rossel of Dallas, Texas, Mason Miotti of Jackson, Tennessee, Preston Miotti of Dyersburg and Stephen Nees of Stephenville, Texas; his great-nephew Braxton Layne Miotti; and his aunt Louise Pease of Dyersburg. He is also survived by two great nephews, three great nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson-Williams Funeral Home (239 E Main St, Newbern, TN 38059). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home (239 E Main St, Newbern, TN 38059).
In keeping with "Big Mike's " loving and generous spirit, it was his decision to donate life so that others may live.
