It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean McCracken of Decatur, Tennessee, who passed away on October 19, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Whaley and Gladys Galyon Whaley; her son Timothy John McCracken; her great grandchild Pierson Chase Brown; and her brother Kenneth Whaley.
She is survived by: her husband Johnny McCracken; her children, Lori McCracken (Elliott) of Decatur and Darren McCracken (Mina) of Athens; her grandchildren, Megan Brown (Kirkland) of Knoxville, McKayla Elliott of Decatur, Carter Elliott of Decatur and Sean McCracken of Athens; her great grandchildren, Hansen Brown and Annistyn Brown; her siblings, Carolyn Burris of Calhoun and Clyde "Bo" Whaley (Sandra) of Bethpage; and her sister-in-law Paulette Whaley of Portland. She is also survived by Several Nieces and Nephews.
