He is survived by: his wife Darlene Hensley Dawson; his children, Nicole Loveall (Nathan) and Jessie Dawson; his stepson Derick Bowman (Kim); his grandchildren, Melanie, Alaina, Adelyn, Keeley, Rilee and Isaac; his siblings, Cindy Dawson and John Dawson; and his mother Florence Hugel. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
